3rd Plant Genomics Congress

Attracting experts working in all areas of plant sciences including next generation sequencing, genomics, phenomics, proteomics, epigenetics, bioinformatics and data management, the conference will examine the latest NGS platforms and Omic technologies suitable for progressing plant based research.

The event focuses on aspects such as molecular marker development, breeding, crop/ trait improvement, disease/stress resistance, evolution studies and pathology as well understanding tools to overcome bottlenecks and enable successful data analysis and management.

Het Centrum voor Medische Genetica Gent (CMGG) is verantwoordelijk voor het opsporen en diagnosticeren van genetische afwijkingen bij kinderen, volwassenen en recent ook in prenatale context.
Wij zijn op zoek naar een software developer die ons bioinformatica-team kan versterken. U zal instaan voor de ontwikkeling van webinterfaces voor de analyse van genetische data en het beheer van genetische data gegenereerd door onze sequencing faciliteit.

PhD defense Michaël Vyverman: ALFALFA: Fast and Accurate Mapping of Long Next Generation Sequencing Reads

Michaël Vyverman is proud to announce his public PhD defense ‘ALFALFA: Fast and Accurate Mapping of Long Next Generation Sequencing Reads’ that will take place on Dec 5th 2014 (in Dutch). He is the first PhD student hired on the N2N project defending his PhD.
