Tim De Meyer is Professor at BioBix, with as main focus the data-analysis of high-throughput experiments and its application to successful aging research (particularly cardiovascular disease and cancer). One major interest is the Asklepios Study, a longitudinal population study focusing on the interplay between aging, cardiovascular haemodynamics and inflammation in (preclinical) cardiovascular disease, and the role of epigenetics in these processes. He has a broad expertise in biological/medical data-analysis, ranging from standard univariate and multivariate statistical data analysis towards next-gen seq and microarray data analysis, data mining and the development of heuristic algorithms.
