PhD students and post-docs of the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering may make use of the UGent FIRE initiative for support for experimental design, statistical data analysis and scientific writing. More information on FIRE.
The BioStat research group is often involved in contract research and consulting activities for the private sector and governmental institutions. These activities are organised by a UGent consortium of statistics professors: StatGent. Prof O. Thas is a cofounder of this consortium and he may be contacted for further questions.
As academic statisticians we are often involved in scientific collaborations with scientists from other disciplines. These collaborations typically result in joint publications or joint supervision of PhD students. For more information, please contact Prof O. Thas.
