Lieven Clement is Professor of Statistical Genomics at the Department of Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics, Ghent University, where he is guiding a research group in Statistical ‘Omics. His research aims at developing statistical methods for the analysis and integration of ‘omics data and at leveraging his expertise to translational research. He has experience in copy number, transcriptomic-, micro-RNA, and QTL profiling and developed methods for multiple array based platforms. He is currently focusing on methods for the analysis of digital PCR, mass spectrometry and next-generation sequencing data.
